Obedience is Action
Obedience is when we decide to do what we know is right in the sight of the Lord and follow through with it. Making a declaration to obey without following through is disobedience. Are you following the Lord by being obedient? Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says "Lord" will enter the kingdom of Heaven, only those who obey.
In John 14:15 Jesus said, "If you love me, obey my commandments." Words without action are empty, and if we do truly love the Lord then we would dare not disappoint him by living disobedient lives. It is a daily decision to live for the Lord, and it has to be the most important thing in our lives. Matthew 6:33 says that the Lord will give us all that we need if we live for him and make the Kingdom of Heaven our primary concern. Is the Lord’s Kingdom your primary concern?
Seeking the will of the Lord in ALL things through prayer, fasting, and his word is required to truly follow the Lord. Matthew 6:33 says that we should seek him FIRST, and when we do, other things will fall into place. When we go to the Lord, he will show us how to deal with every situation that we will face in life. When we are shown by the Lord, it is then up to us to obey.
Make the Lord’s Kingdom your primary concern by choosing to daily follow him in all things. Romans 8:14 says, "For as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God." Be led by the Lord and show the world that you choose Jesus today and every day!
